X-51A: Better luck next time!
Hypersonic test vehicle fails, again.
The US Air Force this week tested their X-51 WaveRider Hypersonic missile off the coast of Southern California, in the hope of reaching speeds of Mach 6. After analysing the data for two days, the Air Force have revealed the test was unsuccessful, flying out of control and crashing into the ocean.
The test was the final of three tests aiming to prove the feasibility of hypersonic missile, which would have been able to reach anywhere in the world within a few hours.

I’m inclined to agree. They tried to get their own spaceplane… it didn’t work out. They tried to get their own Gemini...
lol Air Force, when are you going to leave the high-flying and hyper-sonic things to the space administration?
It didn’t fail, they just proved that...chosen methodology didn’t work (that time). Not...
I honestly don’t know how Ramjets are supposed to work. Something about Bernoulli’s Principle and compression and mixing...
Better luck next time!
